A khimar is a cape-style garment that covers the head, neck, and shoulders in a single piece, extending down to somewhere between the waist and hip depending on tier count. Unlike a hijab, it isn't wrapped or pinned — it's pulled on pre-shaped. One-tier, two-tier, and three-tier cuts each use progressively more fabric and read as progressively more premium, with satin-back crepe the preferred fabric for holding a clean tiered silhouette.
